sophia bush

noteworthy. worthy of noting. i flipped on the fake tivo and watched last night’s conan this morning. great great show, there was a very perky performance by the spring standards which had a brilliant ending. however, who really cares cause what i’m noting is the star of the night… bright eyed guest Sophia Bush, an actor who plays Brooke Davis on CW’s One Tree Hill.

i don’t know one tree hill from adam, from two tree hill, red fish, blue fish.  it is a show that i fly by when i’m on the channel wheel. cw is a spotty channel for me. the name is stupid. one tree hill was once a bad idea for a song name by u2, and to repeat it is dumb.  when you add in the fact that my first word of mouth description of the show was that it was like 90210 i was out.

i don’t know if it was the fact that she was sharp on her feet, or that conan was unabashedly flirting with her on stage, but she was brilliant up there. didn’t mumble through the chatter like most guests do. she has this voice - like a frog in her throat which i admit is a terrible voice, but like i learned on antm, it is the odd that makes it unique.  it is a deep voice, but the veins in her neck don’t pop out - it’s very ladylike.  i checked her out.  no relationship to the dub. supporter of obama. very humble about being in the spotlight. previous kkg gal.  i’m thinking this may be the best conversation conan has had in this century.  plus they talk about one tree hill and it starts to sound like there is some real thought in the show - the same thought that gets me watchin’

sold. i just added one tree hill to my queue. good work soph.  what’s next? gossip girls? shit.

lykke li » hey in the last few days I’ve been hearing a lot about a little swedish wonder with a vietnamese/korean sounding name.  I saw her on blogotheque a month or so ago, then this last week she was a surprise musical guest on Conan.  here is a clip of what i think is her first video.

there is a loving hand remix of this song that is like the coolest song to listen to while waiting in line at the bank. try keeping still. just try it.
